J.P. Morgan has received approval to become a principal member of France's major payments network, Cartes Bancaires CB, marking the first U.S. bank to achieve this status. The approval allows J.P. Morgan to offer its merchant clients access to the Cartes
Bancaires CB payment network by the end of 2024, aiming to provide competitive transaction costs and high-performance local processing for French card transactions.
