About the Speakers

Shawn Thomas
Senior Director, Global B2B Merchant Acceptance, Visa Business Solutions
Shawn Thomas is senior director at Visa and leads the global B2B merchant acceptance team. Shawn has worked in the B2B commercial payments space for over 20 years, and in his current role, he leads a team that focuses on expanding B2B merchant acceptance across North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Prior to joining Visa, he worked at American Express where he led teams that managed the largest B2B customers on both the merchant and issuing side of the credit card relationships. Shawn has an MBA in international business and finance from Butler University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Indiana University. He currently resides in the Chicago area with his wife and kids. 

Roger McNamara
Director, B2B Acceptance, Visa Business Solutions
Roger McNamara is a 30-year veteran of the payments industry, who joined Visa as a director on the B2B acceptance team in March this year. Prior to this, Roger held a role of director, business development for B2B at American Express and worked on some of the largest acquisition targets for acceptance of cards across multiple industries globally. More recently, Roger established his own sales training and payments consultant company, where he helped all types of businesses understand how they should accept plastic and Virtual Card payments, identifying the true cost associated with these payments and how they can, in some cases, mitigate this line-item expense for card. Roger was educated at the Dublin Institute of Technology, in Ireland, with a degree in marketing administration and was further educated at Harvard Business School for Leadership. Roger resides in Florida.
