Sally Helms, CPCP, has been the P-Card program administrator for the City of Longmont
for the past eight years. As the only P-Card staff member, Sally has grown the City of Longmont’s P-Card program from $2.6M annual spend/279 cards to $9.7M annual spend/450 cards. Sally has been through the trenches with her program, including moving to a new service provider in 2012, an emergency city flood event in 2013, changing software reconciliation platforms three times and card management platforms twice. In 2015, her program went digital and moved to a new ERP system. She has restructured and relaunched her program, written and published new policies and procedures, and developed new training materials and training classes for program participants. Sally chaired the Colorado Public P-Card Group (CPPG) for three years and has presented for various groups using her experience on topics of interest.
