Value-added tax (VAT) is a consumption tax imposed by many countries and is typically included in the price of goods and services U.S. employees traveling abroad are charged VAT that may be reclaimed. VAT reclaim is a process that allows individuals, including U.S. employees, who have incurred VAT on eligible expenses while traveling abroad to recover that tax.
