The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) and Deem partnered on a research study analyzing the behaviors, practices and technological demands of business travelers.

ACTE explains, "When we started this research project, we were focused on the needs of the multigenerational workforce, which have been defined by the growth of emerging technologies that make work-from-anywhere and instant connectivity possible. At the time, we had no way of knowing we’d be facing a global pandemic or how it would impact all industries, and travel, in particular.

But amid stay-at-home orders and the need for social distancing—as well as the diminished role of business travel in the economy—the very technologies younger generations have come to expect are going to be more important than ever. Employee health and safety are paramount and providing strategic digital tools can help protect your workers while minimizing business disruption.

Many of the learnings we’ve gained from our research into the multi-generational workforce can be informative for the new future of work. While travel may largely be on pause, now is the time for businesses to start thinking about how they can get new technology online and ready to go when the crisis begins to resolve – and make no mistake, we expect our industry will bounce back stronger, smarter and more prepared for any future disruptions that may arise."

Members >> This study found that many organizations now have three or four generations in the workforce (Baby Boomers, General X, Millennials and Generation Z) and each generation approaches travel behavior differently. One area they all agree on is they want their travel to count against their own loyalty programs. There's much more! Learn more here.
