How has your organization’s duty of care policy changed since the pandemic?

Has not changed generally. Was in the process of increasing duty of care processes ahead of and during COVID, unrelated to the pandemic.
But we follow City and State guidelines as to whether a traveler must quarantine (vaccination status and destination play a role)
The university lifted our travel restriction this summer and I am aware that we have some faculty members who are traveling, or planning travel. Due to budgetary constraints, there is far less non-faculty travel. All travel does have to be pre-approved right now (even faculty). We still have a requirement to register any foreign travel.

If traveling overseas, local regulations and protocols are being followed.
It is flexible so we can pivot with the changing CDC guidelines and conditions in our area. Our team is committed 100% to the safety of all employees and we provide the necessary PPE to our front facing workers.

Our corporation is dealing with many issues related to the pandemic including a significant loss of business which has forced significant reduction in force layoffs. The policy seems to change on a weekly basis.

I am not sure how it has changed. I know that our Human Resources has made a concerted effort to reach out to employees with information and training on how to handle change, manage stress, and work-from-home adjustment.

Everyone must attest to the fact that they've downloaded our Risk Mgmt traveler app, and we require a pre-trip approval now.
More of the burden of responsibility has been placed on the HR team to ensure that employees are not coming to work sick and are quarantining when family members are diagnosed with COVID-19.

Employees are required to follow all safety protocols. If quarantine is required, they must complete it. Foreign travel is is very restricted.
