Virtual Roundtable: Let's Talk! Private Sector Discussion About Challenges/Resolutions During the COVID-19 Crisis

Description

The outbreak of COVID-19 has caused many changes in the way we do business. Corporations find themselves navigating through issues that could have never been predicted a few months ago. This fireside chat, facilitated by members of the NAPCP advisory teams, gave live participants the opportunity to discuss the real-time issues with other program managers in the corporate sector while brainstorming solutions together. Conversation topics included:

  • What new issues have been identified? (i.e., delivery of cards/products to home address, adjusting MCC and/or spend limits, emergency purchases)
  • How are other companies adapting policies/procedures to meet the needs of customers while maintaining control?
  • Are you working at home for the first time? Hear tips/tricks to help keep you sane and productive.
  • Could your company have been better prepared? We’ll discuss how to evaluate and update your emergency preparedness plan?
Target Audience

All members and subscribers in private sector practices.

Facilitators

Alison Anders, CPCP
Senior Manager
Charles Schwab

Alison’s career in Corporate Cards began in 2010 when, working in the gold mining industry as a buyer, she inherited the Travel and P-Card programs. She was thrown in head-first as she was asked to lead a One Card RFP to consolidate the two programs and hasn’t looked back since. She successfully rolled out that new card program, while writing and releasing a new Travel and Expense Policy, and implementing a new expense software system. In 2015, Alison joined Charles Schwab to manage the Travel and Expense and P-Card programs. Alison is responsible for all aspects of the program and for leading the team that oversees 12,500+ card accounts, related policies, expense system, and all audit processes, along with cardholder training and communication strategies. Most recently, Alison implemented an artificial intelligence expense audit solution and is launching a new declining balance program. Alison earned her CPCP designation in fall 2018. She loves getting involved any way she can with the NAPCP and is currently a member of the NAPCP Travel Card Advisory Team.

It’s not all about business for Randy. He enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities from swimming, cycling and running, to surfing. While inside, it’s karaoke, dancing and reading to name a few. Before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, he was planning a live NFL draft podcast for up to 400 fans.
