The New York Fed’s April Survey shows consumers expect higher inflation over the next three years, while confidence in earnings, job prospects and household finances declined. Expected income growth dropped to its lowest level since 2021, and only 49.2% believe they could find a job within three months if needed—the weakest reading since March 2021.
