Patrick Dwyer, Vice President, Public Policy, Head of U.S. State Affairs, Mastercard
Patrick Dwyer is the vice president of public policy and head of U.S. state affairs for Mastercard. He leads the strategy creation and execution of political and legislative engagements with policymakers at the state level for Mastercard in the U.S. These efforts include engaging directly with state legislators, attorneys general, governors and other elected state officials, as well as managing State Public Affairs efforts in the U.S. Patrick has also served as chief of staff to the head of global public policy, led global anti-money laundering policy efforts and established and lead public policy efforts in India, Brazil and Canada.
Roiana Reid, Senior U.S. Economist and Data Scientist, Mastercard
As an economist at the Mastercard Economics Institute, Roiana's responsibilities include the development and delivery of differentiated economic, financial, policy and market thought leadership for customers and colleagues at Mastercard. Having joined Mastercard in 2022, Roiana covers the U.S. economy, with a special focus on small business. Prior to joining Mastercard, Roiana was at KKR, where she performed macroeconomic analyses for the Real Estate and Private Equity Consumer Investment teams. Roiana has also worked at Berenberg Capital Markets and Nomura Securities, where she analyzed the U.S. economy. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and economics from Vassar College, and a Master of Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of the National Association of Business Economics.
Sam Batkins, Vice President, Public Policy, Mastercard
Sam Batkins is vice president for policy and research in Mastercard's Government Affairs team. He has worked for Mastercard for the past seven years, working with policymakers, the business and customers on legislative and regulatory policy. Sam is experienced in research and strategy with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and payments industry. He is a strong research and policy professional with a J.D. from Catholic University.
